Ahhh Evergreen...one of my absolute favorite spots to steal away for an intimate family session. It's conveniently located just 45 short minutes from Highlands Ranch and is a fantastic gateway to the mountains. I like to schedule most of my family sessions in September, seeing as it's before ski-season and the roads are generally traffic free. Evergreen is half the distance to our Silverthorne location which is a good 1.5 hours away, so for families looking to schedule a less time-extensive session its an awesome option. 

To get there, you do get on I-70, but only for a few miles. You'll want to exit before traffic would start backing up. It is so worth the drive for playing in a large yellow aspen grove (especially if there are little ones in the mix). There is a tiny hill like mountain view and a bunch of evergreens which makes this spot truly amazing.

A Beautiful Day with a Beautiful Family

Speaking of amazing views, this family won one of my auction packages that I give away to local schools. I'm not sure who's more of the winner, me or them! Every year I donate some sessions out to the schools in my area to give back to the community I love and cherish so much. Their school happens to be in my neighborhood but our row of homes isn't zoned into it.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to meet and work with this awesome family. Their sense of style and bright personalities made for a fun, laid back session. I was able to capture the true essence of each personality. Being able to capture the bonds between these brothers and their individual characteristics is just a snipet of what makes me love my job as a family photographer. Candid moments, silly giggles, what more could I ask for?!
